The unfolding library, curated by Tricia Treacy + Denise Bookwalter prompted artists and designers to make a new artist book (in the broadest interpretation) within 6 weeks about a passage of time. This collection of book objects launched in at the Bergen Art Book Fair in Norway to expose artists working in and around book formats that might not attend book fairs.
These curated 25 books are available to be exhibited until summer 2026. After then, we will collaborate with an artist book archive by gifting the unique collection, enabling the books access to more curious people.
A risograph and letterpress printed publication, UL, vol_01, about the project was designed and produced by Bookwalter and Treacy to archive the project, and share outcomes from this first version. The hand-sewn book is wrapped in a folded letterpress poster in an edition of 100. They are available for pre-order until for $75. Then, they will be $100 each.
